	PlasmaSky.com was created December 6, 2006 after I almost missed several concerts I really wanted to see. The problem is that there are so many venues in DFW that it's easy to forget to check them all and miss a good show. The website is built using PHP with a MySQL database backend. Venue parsing is accomplished by using PHP with Curl to pull venue scheduling information directly from the venues' websites. Plasmasky.com then automatically parses venue information and inserts it into the database. Venue information is updated on a daily basis. Have a venue you'd like to see added to PlasmaSky? There are a few requirements for this to happen: I will only parse event information from the horse's mouth. No third party websites, only the websites of the actual venue. I can only parse venue information that follows a pattern. In most cases this isn't a problem, as venue scheduling information is typically built programmatically and thus follows a pattern. However, if a website follows no programmatic pattern (ie, it's manually updated by someone editing html sourcecode directly), it is then impossible to add it to PlasmaSky. This website is for the Dallas / Fort Worth Metroplex. Sorry, I won't add your favorite Lubbock venue.
